Maryland's Synthetic Cannabinoids Statistics
As of July 15, 2019, the Maryland Poison Center (MPC) has received reports of 45 cases, with 3 deaths, linked to an outbreak that was first reported on April 3, 2018. Cases have had bleeding disorders, which can be fatal, associated with the use of synthetic cannabinoids.

Counties included within each region are as follows:
- 1 Central Maryland: Baltimore City and Baltimore, Harford, and Howard Counties
- 2 Western Maryland: Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, Montgomery, and Washington Counties
- 3 Eastern Maryland: Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties
- 4 Southern Maryland: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince George's, and St. Mary's Counties
*Numbers are provisional and subject to change. MPC will monitor for new cases daily and will update the website every Monday around 1:30 p.m., for the duration of the outbreak.
**A case previously recorded as Central Maryland was found to actually be from Western Maryland.
